Corsair II aircraft were developed during the bloodiest days of the Vietnam War. Once deployed, they served as close air support aircraft. Sophisticated electronics, including the first ever Heads-Up-Display, allowed the Corsair II to land hits with more precision than had ever before been possible. Coupled with the Corsairs massive 15,000 lb ordnance capacity, this precision meant that Corsairs became planners strike craft of choice.
